Funky & Fruity

Red Rooster has sourced this modern Ethiopian coffee for years and it's delicious every year. We taste blueberry, winey acidity, and a hint of cocoa.

Understanding roast levels

Roast level affects both flavor and body. Here's what to expect from each.

Light

Best for: those that prize delicate flavors and a tea-like feel above intensity.

Light-Medium

Best for: those that enjoy juicy acidity and gently caramelized sugars.

Medium

Best for: those that enjoy balance and classic flavors like cocoa and nuts.

Medium-Dark

Best for: those looking for classic coffee flavors with a kiss of roast.

Dark

Best for: those that love intense, smoky flavor and a full body above all else.

Trade Tip

Roasters don’t always agree on roast level — one roaster’s dark might look the same as another’s medium. We taste and assign every coffee our own roast level, so your matches stay consistent no matter who roasted them.

ABOUT THE ROASTER

Red Rooster

Floyd, VA

Fun Fact
This roaster has its own licensed onsite childcare for employees, called Yellow Hen.

    Fruity, smooth, aromatic

Lovely bag of beans with exceptional fruit notes. Brewed this via Chemex and pour over and tastes phenomenal with both.

    Puts the WORK in Worka

This coffee is so smooth, I almost fell down when I took a sip. It’s so complex, I had to collect my thoughts. This coffee is so delicate, I was worried I was gonna break it. 10/10. I will be checking out more of Red Rooster’s repertoire. If they’re all this good, a trip to Virginia might be necessary to say thanks!

Funky and fruity is great description in a good way

I thought the berry really pops here, not in a flavored coffee kind of way but a really nice note of it. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend if enjoying anaerobics
