    I had high expectations since these were roasted on July 27 and rested for about 9 days before brewing. Unfortunately, these were some of the most disappointing espresso beans I’ve tried.

    I dialed them in with multiple grind adjustments, different brew ratios, and even manual pre-infusion, but every shot came out overwhelmingly bitter, flat, and lacking sweetness. The extraction never developed the rich crema or syrupy flow I normally get from freshly roasted beans.

    The coffee had very little aroma upon opening and honestly reminded me of beans that had been sitting in my cabinet for months. I couldn’t taste any of the advertised chocolate, nutty, or sweet notes.

    I don’t know if I received a bad batch or if these beans just aren’t for me, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t buy them again. The rest of the bag will be used as office drip coffee.
