Sweet & Tart

Blanca Suazo's family has been farming their land since the 60s, and she has continued that legace not only by growing delicious coffee, but also by refining processes and growing seedlings for other producers in Veracruz. This coffee, the first Joe's new Cafe Feminista project, is super unique, with several varieties not usually found in Mexico contributing to a coffee that combines sugary fruit flavors with a creamy body.

Understanding roast levels

Roast level affects both flavor and body. Here's what to expect from each.

Light

Best for: those that prize delicate flavors and a tea-like feel above intensity.

Light-Medium

Best for: those that enjoy juicy acidity and gently caramelized sugars.

Medium

Best for: those that enjoy balance and classic flavors like cocoa and nuts.

Medium-Dark

Best for: those looking for classic coffee flavors with a kiss of roast.

Dark

Best for: those that love intense, smoky flavor and a full body above all else.

Trade Tip

Roasters don’t always agree on roast level — one roaster’s dark might look the same as another’s medium. We taste and assign every coffee our own roast level, so your matches stay consistent no matter who roasted them.

    Fabulous coffee

I brought some to work and everyone loved it so much. So smooth. Impossible to drink Folger's (what we have at work) after drinking this.
