Sweet & Smooth

Designed from the perspective that sometimes it's too early to drink a fruity, acidic coffee, this blend is full of comforting candy bar flavors.

Medium roast

Understanding roast levels

Roast level affects both flavor and body. Here's what to expect from each.

Light

Best for: those that prize delicate flavors and a tea-like feel above intensity.

Light-Medium

Best for: those that enjoy juicy acidity and gently caramelized sugars.

Medium

Best for: those that enjoy balance and classic flavors like cocoa and nuts.

Medium-Dark

Best for: those looking for classic coffee flavors with a kiss of roast.

Dark

Best for: those that love intense, smoky flavor and a full body above all else.

Trade Tip

Roasters don’t always agree on roast level — one roaster’s dark might look the same as another’s medium. We taste and assign every coffee our own roast level, so your matches stay consistent no matter who roasted them.

    Update..

I wanted to update my last review because after drinking 4:30 AM for the past week, it now seems that the flavor profile has changed. Its no longer acidic as it was when I first opened the bag. I wonder if it is common for coffee beans to become less acidic after oxidation. Anyway, my point is it's very enjoyable now, and it's very smooth and chocolatey. Note to self and other coffee drinkers: sometimes the bag of beans needs some time to oxidize for a more enjoyable flavor profile.

Not as sweet and smooth as described...

Definitely acidic aftertaste, which kind of threw me off for a Colombian. The acidity is pretty prominent, so I was surprised that trade and the roaster didn't pick on it. This made me indifferent to the coffee I'm not sure if I like it or not I like the initial notes but the after taste is so strong that it distracts from the rest of the flavor profile.
